Our newest fundraiser is running through November 10th.
We are selling Domino's Pizza cards. The cards will sell for $10 each and we earn $5 for each card sold. Our goal is for every particpant to sell 12 cards.
If every participant (12 students min) sells 12 cards our group incentive will be a free t shirt we can design ourselves!
Also, for selling 12 cards you will get a free pizza card for yourself.
You will take orders and collect cash or checks ( payable to NIMPA).
The cards will arrive approximately two weeks after our orders are submitted.
The order forms and flier will be in the band room. Please encourage your student to grab one and try to sell these.
This is going to be a General Fund Fundraiser. we need to get our funds built back up.
If 100 people sell 12 cards our profit will be $6000! I know that is a high expectation but it would be amazing to reach that!!
Thank you to all that participate and Good Luck.

Biggest Fund Raiser of the Year for the band program!!
Saturday November 19, 2016.
What is the Northrop Craft Bazaar? A 30 year tradition welcoming over 200 vendors and over 1,500 shoppers. All of which generates the largest fund raiser for our group. We take over the school halls, gym, and cafeteria to set up over 200 tables. Vendors then rent those tables from us, to display their fall and holiday handmade crafts, and re-purposed items. Throughout the day we will welcome over 1,500 shopppers from the community.
Our season is over, but before you ramp up for the holidays, save the date of November 19, to take part and make this a successful event.
We will be receiving the next Kroger Rewards check in the next few weeks! If you would like to have yours applied to your child’s account please get your statement to Dawn Houser or put it in the Big Orange Mailbox with your child’s name on it.
If you have not signed up, what are you waiting for? See below for details on how to sign up!
Earn money for your students account!!
Did You Know ....Shopping at Kroger, with your Plus card, could earn rewards (cash) for your Big Orange Pride Marching Band? It could even go directly to your band student fees account.
Step 1: Go to kroger.com and register your Plus card, by providing your Plus card ID number.
Step 2: Also sign up for Community Rewards, and select Northrop Band #10595.
Each quarter, Kroger will send a rewards check to NIMPA.
Step 3: Each quarter, go online, print, and provide us with your quarterly rewards statement. We will apply that reward amount to your student's band fee account.
For prior users of the Kroger Cares program …… In 2014, Kroger changed their policy and cannot supply our organization with the names of their shoppers, (You). Providing us with your Quarterly Reward Statement, is now the best way to apply the reward to your student’s account. The next Reward Quarter ends in October.
Yes. We can also accept reward statements from grandparents, family, and friends, who also select Northrop Band, as their Community Reward recipient ... and all reward statements provided, will go towards your student's fee account.
JAF recap meeting will be Thursday, Oct. 27 at 7 p in the choir room. anyone who helped can come and share their feedback to make next year is even more successful! Thanks!"
There will be a party planning meeting Thursday (tomorrow) in the band room at 7 pm for any who wish to be involved.
ADDRESSING THE ELEPHANT
As the season winds down and we are super excited to be going to Scholastic Finals Oct. 22nd, the elephant in the room must be addressed: outstanding band fees. Please consider this a polite reminder to get your fees paid if you have not already done so. Payments on fees are accepted. We have a number of expenses yet to be paid, and students marching on unpaid fees is not really fair to those who have coughed up their fees on time. Numerous fundraisers have been conducted to help your student raise money for their fees, and many students raise all their fees through these fundraisers. The next fundraiser, Yankee Candle - a very popular pre-holiday fundraiser, will be starting very soon. If you are having difficulty paying your fees, please participate in fundraising events.
Fee payments may be put in an envelope and put in the orange BOP mailbox or handed to a NIMPA board member. Make sure your payment is marked with your student's name & the words "Band Fees". If you are unsure what amount you owe or have any other questions concerning your account, please contact Treasurer Dawn Houser.
Thank you very much, we love your students, and thanks to those who have diligently paid their band fees & then some. This is a worthwhile program in which we want our youth to be involoved!
Thursday Night Meal

YANKEE CANDLE FUNDRAISER
Woohoo! The Yankee Candle Fundraiser stuff came in this weekend! This is a hugely popular fundraiser, with lots of products perfect for holiday gift giving. The catalog has scratch & sniff ("rub & smell" actually, whatever) and smells fabulous. Most products are within a dollar or two of the retail store prices, and there are many products under $10. There is a Popcornopolis insert as well as a magazine insert, for those of us old farts who still enjoy magazines in the "reading room". For your friends and relatives that live at a distance, there is a website for online selling.
We will start this awesome fundraiser Monday, Oct. 17 (packets will be above orange mailbox) and go through Sat. Nov 12th. We earn 40% of sales on this & profits benefit STUDENT ACCOUNTS! So get on board & get rolling on your band fees , you can even get in the black for your next year's fees. Everybody loves the Yankee Candle fundraiser, it's not called "America's Best Loved Candle" for nothing!
Questions? Contact Beverley Pape at Mommapape@frontier.com or hit me up on Facebook (spell the first name right to find me). I'll be at the NIMPA meeting this Tuesday, Oct. 18, also.
