We will have students call when we are leaving the show. (Please pick up students promptly. Thank You) I would like to take a minute to thank EVERYONE that was a part of the Johnny Appleseed Festival & planning! It looks like the department had a fantastic weekend(after a wet and slow start on Saturday). We will have final totals soon, but it was very successful again.
Thank you to everyone that donated items, took time to clean 2800lbs. of chicken, worked the booth, grilled, took the time to set-up and tear down, helped with financial items, or any of the other jobs that helped this weekend!! You are ALL truly incredible and we can’t thank you enough for what you do! Every year that we prepare for Johnny Appleseed I am constantly amazed at the time and effort that people put forth for this department and their kids! The Northrop Music Department has been running the chicken booth at Johnny Appleseed for years and it is wonderful to see how it has evolved over time and continued to make more money while keeping the same basic formula from the 1980’s. I know that Bill Heins and Barry Ashton(the music directors when it started)are so proud that we continue the booth and that it has become such a profitable weekend for the department. Thank you again for ALL that you do for your kids and the Northrop Music Department!! Tom Maupin Music Department Head Here is the information and schedule for the instrumental music portion of the pizza and pops concert on Tuesday September 29th. It is also being passed out in class and at BOP rehearsal today. ![]()
